A Texas community is grappling using the dying of the 6-year-old boy who had been wiped out in the home Thursday as sheriff&rsquos deputies shot in a lady these were chasing outdoors. Deputies also wiped out the lady.
The boy, Kameron Prescott, was hit within the abdomen with a stray bullet that experienced the wall of his rv within the town of Schertz. He was pronounced dead in a nearby hospital, The San Antonio Express-News reports. Four Bexar County Sheriff&rsquos deputies were going after a lady suspect, who had been recognized by her family as 30-year-old Amanda Lenee Jones. Police stated the lady these were chasing was suspected of stealing a vehicle. There’s no known link between Johnson and Prescott or his family.
Sheriff Javier Salazar stated in a Friday news conference (below) that deputies opened up fire around the lady after she forced her distance to the house where Prescott resided and threatened people inside. He stated she returned outdoors and threatened deputies by having an object they thought to be a &ldquoweapon.&rdquo
Investigators haven’t retrieved any firearms in the scene, however they saw a &ldquotubular object&rdquo they now believe was the product deputies mistook for any gun. In the conference, Salazar known as what went down a &ldquotragic accident.&rdquo
In a statement released by Kameron’s school district, his first-grade teacher described him like a boy who loved to create everybody laugh.
&ldquoKameron was the kindest-hearted young boy that i’ve ever had the pleasure training,&rdquo stated Shanda Ince.
School counselor Maria Morales appreciated him being an energetic, intelligent &ldquokind soul&rdquo who could &ldquostrike up a discussion with anybody.&rdquo
Kameron&rsquos uncle, Christopher Gonzales, has stated he really wants to begin to see the deputies &ldquoheld accountable&rdquo for which happened.
&ldquoY&rsquoall just wiped out a young boy, whether it was y&rsquoall,&rdquo he told KENS5. &ldquoThere&rsquos no weapon, therefore it wasn&rsquot that lady.&rdquo
Local news outlets have reported that the GoFundMe page continues to be setup for Kameron&rsquos family to help with funeral costs.
