Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) sent Twitter users right into a small-meltdown on Tuesday as he was caught on camera removing a set of glasses he wasn&rsquot really putting on.

A long-serving Senate Republican, who’s retiring at the end of this year, pulled the move throughout a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing with Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen.

It provided some comic relief throughout an at-occasions tense hearing, which at some point saw Sen.&nbspCory Booker&nbsp(D-N.J.) accuse Nielsen of being “complicit”&nbspin President Donald Trump’s bigotry.

The clip, above, immediately went viral.

Hatch&rsquos office saw the funny side from the gaffe and joked via Twitter the 83-year-old senator was basically donning a set of &ldquoinvisible glasses&rdquo from hipster-favorite Warby Parker.
